I believe a citizen makes a positive impact in the world. Three people I believe exhibit the qualities of a citizen are Susan B. Anthony, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson.

Susan B. Anthony fought for women to have the same rights as men. She was part of the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. Because of her outstanding work, women gained the right to vote and are equal to men.

George Washington was the first President of the United States. He led us to victory in the American Revolutionary War.

Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the United States. His most famous impact on the world was Jefferson writing the Declaration of Independence. Because of Jefferson’s work, we broke free from British rule and became our own nation.
