There are many great examples of citizens of the world. However I am going to be writing about only 3. These three examples are Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln and Mohandas Gandhi. These three men made huge contributions to make the world what it is today.

 Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklinis known world wide because of his famous kite experiment. This experiment helped us understand more about electricity then ever before. It also lead to the invention of the lightning rod. Benjamin Franklin was not only a very dedicated scientist but also very involved in politics. Being one of the founding fathers of the United States, he a great part of the Independence of the United States. Franklin not only signed the Declaration Of Independence, but he was an editor of the draft that was sent to him by Thomas Jefferson.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi known worldwide as Mahatma Gandhi was a spiritual leader of India. He was part of the Indian Independence Movement. Gandhi believed in non-violent protest and truth. He was always trying to encourage others to do the same and follow his peaceful ways. Even though he was a part of many wars throughout the world, he was always dis-encouraging generals and even armies to back off from an attack. Even though he faced many types of discrimination and racial attacks, he never fought back with violence. He employed non-cooperation, non-violence and peace full resistance as his weapons to fight back to what he believed was wrong. Even though he was a peace full man, he was brutally assassinated.

Abraham Lincolnwas the sixteenth president of the United States. He lead the Union of the north against the confederates of the south. Even though he was the leader  of the war he was fighting for the liberation of the slaves. He fought a long civil war which eventually lead to the signing of the emancipation proclamation. This proclamation liberated all the slaves from their plantations and made them free. Lincoln however was not able to see this come true as he was shot before the war came to an end.

I believe that the people above were citizens of the world because of the positive impact. They have made great discoveries, lead peace full movements and liberated thousands. Two of the people above were killed because people were all not agreeing with what they believed.
