It can mean a lot of things to different people to be a citizen of the world. For example, participating. Whether you’re voting for president, paying taxes, or volunteering in your community, you are a citizen of both your area, and the world. Educators, health care professionals, and even business managers interact with people every day, and therefore play their part in their own way. Being respectful of your environment, and that can mean anything from planting a garden to cleaning up the local beach, is another way to interact, participate, and be a citizen of the world.
